Kalahari Greentech Begins Development of Solar-Thermal Generator

Kalahari Greentech, Inc. (Pink Sheets:KHGT) released a statement today that the company has commenced development of a Solar-Thermal Generator. Based off of a patented design, the Solar Thermal "Tri-Brid" generator uses sun power to generate electricity.

Engineers are fabricating a production prototype to demonstrate the capabilities of the technology. The test unit worked as designed, and the results are being used to design a system for individual and small commercial applications.

Since the solar array uses no moving parts or delicate photovoltaic panels, the system will be useful in applications where no technicians are available, yet there is a need for long-term power generation.

Wind energy and solar power are fast becoming the leading sources of renewable energy, which puts Kalahari Greentech in the right place at the right time.

Kalahari Greentech designs, produces and provides wind turbines, solar collectors and other sustainable energy technologies. Overall U.S. solar electric capacity, including both photovoltaic and concentrating solar power installations, increased 37% in 2009. As a result, the total solar industry revenue reached $4 billion; a 36% increase over 2008. Continued growth is expected in 2010. (Source: www.seia.org).
