Wind energy Vestas receives 44 MW wind turbines order in Sweden

Vestas has received an order from Eolus Vind AB for delivery of 22 wind turbines V90-2.0 MW for a wind farm. The order has a total capacity of 44 MW and the turbines will be installed at the Tolvmanstegen wind farm in the Municipality of Strömstad in Sweden.

The contract includes supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, a VestasOnline® Business SCADA system and a five-year service agreement. “Eolus and Vestas have been business partners for over 20 years driving the development of wind power forward in Sweden. At Vestas, a close dialogue with our customer is key and we are very happy with the confidence and trust Eolus has placed in us again by placing their so far largest order with Vestas,” says Krister Poole Jönsson, Vice President Sales, Nordics and Baltic States.

“Vestas is a reliable partner providing us with timely deliveries of high quality wind turbines. Tolvmanstegen is our biggest wind farm so far and Vestas was a natural choice for us based on our long relationship and the conditions at the site,” says Gustaf Ekberg, CEO Eolus Vind. The commissioning of the wind turbines is expected to start in October 2011.
