Enel Green Power places wind energy plant into service in Spain

With this new wind turbines plant, located in the province of Avila, the company adds a further 16 MW to the 335 MW it already owns in the Community of Castilla y Leon and the 1,690 MW it operates in the overall Iberian peninsula.

The wind turbines, which are spread across the municipalities of Navalperal de Pinares and Ávila, will have an annual production of 42.7 million kWh, enough to meet the energy needs of over 15,800 households. The wind energy produced by the wind farm will avoid the annual atmospheric emission of 31,600 metric tons of CO2 as well as saving 15,800 tons of oil equivalent (TOE) per year, the company said.

Our aim for the Iberian peninsula is to start operating all our pre-registered projects within the established time schedule and capacity framework."
