Bechtel Receives Notice to Proceed for World-Class Solar Energy Facility

"Upon completion, the California Valley Solar Ranch will produce clean, renewable energy to meet the power needs of approximately 100,000 homes. Equally important, it will be built with minimal impact to the land and habitat," said Ian Copeland, president of Bechtel’s Renewable Power division. Bechtel began working on the site in August under a Limited Notice to Proceed agreement. Construction of the facility is scheduled to take approximately two years.
