GE-Tamoin consortium signs wind farm service agreement with Iberdrola

Grouped in nine facilities, the turbines are located in Murcia, Cuenca and Albacete provinces with a joint capacity of nearly 400 MW. This is the largest wind farm maintenance contract signed by General Electric in Europe, thus consolidating Tamoin as one of the core suppliers of IBERDROLA Group in Spain.

IBERDROLA has signed a wind farm maintenance contract with the consortium made up of General Electric and Spain’s Tamoin Energías Renovables for nearly 400 megawatts (MW) in Spain.

The three-year renewable contract, with a possible two year extension, covers predictive and preventative maintenance of 310 General Electric wind turbines at nine of IBERDROLA’s wind farms in Spain, namely the

Cuesta Colorada, Cerro Calderón, Cerro Palo, Muela 1, Maza, Calleja, Isabela, Sierra Quemada and Gavilanes facilities, located in the Spanish provinces of Murcia, Cuenca and Albacete.

Under this agreement, the General Electric-Tamoin Energías Renovables consortium will oversee maintenance activities, guaranteeing the strict levels of availability and response times required by IBERDROLA Group.

In the context of the maintenance contract renovation process carried out by IBERDROLA in the last few months, which includes agreements with Gamesa and Tamoin, this is the largest wind farm maintenance agreement signed to date by General Electric in Europe.
