Vestas has received an order from ContourGlobal for a total capacity of 114 MW for the Cupisnique and Talara wind farm plants in Peru consisting of 45 wind turbines of the V100 platform and 17 units of the V100-1.8 MW, respectively.
The contract is a turnkey contract, which means that Vestas will provide the entire range of services to build the wind power plants, including civil and electrical works, supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines, a VestasOnline® Business SCADA system, as well as a 10-year service and maintenance agreement including the Active Output Management package AOM 4000.
The AOM 4000 is a full scope service contract, consisting of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and consumables, which offers solid risk management for customers who want an availability guarantee measured against an agreed threshold. This type of contract offers customers assured performance avoiding unforeseen operational costs of any kind.
Delivery of the first twind urbines is expected to begin in Q1 2013 and the wind power plants are expected to be commercially operational during Q4 2013.

The wind power plants will produce approx 451 GWh per year, equivalent to annual savings of 295,450 tons in CO2 emissions.
