Arise Windpower buys 300MW of onshore wind farm projects

Sweden’s Arise Windpower has agreed to purchase three onshore wind energy projects from Ownpower with a combined capacity of 300MW.

Arise Windpower AB (publ) (“Arise”) (STO:AWP) has concluded a conditional agreement with Ownpower Projects AB (“OPP”) for the acquisition of a fully permitted project in Bräcke (60 MW) and two projects in the permit application phase. The projects are located in the municipalities of Bollnäs and Ljusdal (approximately 240 MW) and include about 100 wind turbines.

The agreement is in line with the company’s strategy to develop large wind farms where co-investors may participate.
