Speak with your wallet and use products produced using clean energy. Delicious and dedicated to clean energy, the Mars Company that makes M&Ms recently announced they purchased enough power from a wind farm in Texas to run all of their candy factories across the country. Now 53 of the Fortune 500 companies have renewable energy goals.

Help educate others about clean energy on social media

You can become a Wind Energy Super Ambassador through “Electric Nation: Powered by Wind,” a Facebook page for wind supporters. You can easily sign up using your Facebook account and then gain access to interesting quizzes and contests. Or check it out at electricnation.com.

Check if your local electric utility has a clean energy option

Utility clean energy programs let homes and businesses opt to buy clean power through our local electric utilities. Each year the National Renewable Energy Lab releases a “Top Ten” list of such programs. Check online or call your utility company to explore your options.
