Goldwind to supply wind turbines for 30 MW wind farm in Italy

Chinese wind turbine manufacturers are making inroads into Europe, as they have already done with photovoltaics and electric vehicles.
Goldwind will supply seven GW155-4.2 wind turbines to the Alerion-backed Foggia wind farm.

Generai, a subsidiary of Alerion Clean Power, has signed a wind turbine supply contract with Goldwind for a wind farm in Italy.

The Beijing-based wind turbine manufacturer will deliver seven GW155-4.2 wind turbines to the 29.4 MW project located in the southern province of Foggia.

A medium-term operation and maintenance contract has also been agreed between the parties.

Construction of the Foggia wind farm is expected to begin shortly and commercial operations are anticipated to start in the second half of 2025.
