Another US offshore wind farm approved as Trump threatens offshore wind

The wind farm is owned by EDP Renewables and Engie.
On Friday, US regulators approved the 11th offshore wind farm in the United States.

The 2.4 GW Southcoast Wind project, to be built off the coasts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island, has been approved by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM).

The project plans involve the installation of 141 wind turbines and four offshore substations.

Southcoast Wind is being developed by Ocean Winds, owned by EDP Renewables and Engie.
