Taiwan’s Nan Ya to triple photovoltaic solar power generation

Nan Ya PCB Vice President Jack Lu (???) said Tuesday the company will triple its solar power generation next year.

Lu at a corporate briefing said the solar power system at the company’s Shulin plant generates 340,000 to 350,000 kWh of electricity annually, per CNA. He estimated that the second phase of the solar power project will be completed by the end of 2025, tripling the plant’s electricity generation.

In addition to expanding solar power generation, Lu said Nan Ya will continue to purchase green electricity next year for use in its production processes.

Lu added that in response to global warming, Nan Ya promotes green products. It develops circuit boards and substrates for the electric vehicle market, 5G, and Internet of Things (IoT).

According to Nan Ya’s 2023 sustainability report, the company plans to use 18.75 million kWh of green electricity annually from 2024 to 2029. It also seeks to control its air pollution and aims for zero environmental fines.
