OX2 secures photovoltaic plant of 165 MW and wind power plant of 40 MW at government auctions in Poland

OX2 has won contracts for the sale of electricity at government auctions in Poland, thus gaining support for a photovoltaic (PV) plant of 165 MW and a wind farm of 40 MW.

The 40 MW wind farm project is located in south-eastern Poland and will be the eighth wind farm by OX2 in Poland. In 2024, OX2 handed over three completed wind farms in Poland to investors. The 165 MW solar farm will be built in the south-western part of Poland and is OX2’s second solar project in Poland.

Last week OX2 also contracted capacity for two battery energy storage systems units with a total capacity of 200 MW/400 MWh in the Polish main market auction.

OX2 is currently carrying out construction works on the Bejsce wind farm, about 20 MW, and the Rutki solar farm, 100 MW. OX2 also manages wind farms with a total capacity of almost 280 MW. The development portfolio in Poland amounted to about 3.1 GW at the end of the third quarter of 2024.
