Enercon commissions 40 MW Turkish wind farm for Kalyon

German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon GmbH has commissioned all wind turbines at a 40 MW wind farm in Türkiye, Turkey, on behalf of project owner Kalen Enerji, a unit of national energy group Kalyon Enerji.

All 10 wind turbines at the Black Sea region site are already supplying electricity to the grid, Enercon said in a LinkedIn post on Monday.

The Ordu wind farm is equipped with E-138 EP3 wind turbines, which the Turkish group ordered last summer as part of a broader deal covering several projects with a combined capacity of 260 MW. All of these projects were successful in the Türkiye Renewable Energy Resources Zone tender program, known locally as YEKA RES-3, in June 2022.

Enercon noted that the Ordu plant’s towers, blades and wind turbines were manufactured in Türkiye, while the nacelles were supplied from its German factories.
