GE Vernova to supply 59 MW of wind power to Eurus in Japan

GE Vernova has been contracted by Japanese wind power company Eurus Energy Holdings Corp to deliver 58.8 MW of wind turbines for wind farm projects in Aomori Prefecture.
The order is for 14 GE Vernova onshore wind turbines, each with an individual capacity of 4.2 MW, to be installed at the Iwaya and Shitsukari wind farms, the US manufacturer announced on Wednesday.

The supply agreement was finalized in the fourth quarter of 2024, bringing the total amount of power supplied in the country by GE Vernova wind turbines to 1.8 GW.

Commissioning of Iwaya and Shitsukari is planned for 2028.

The contract helps Japan achieve its goal of increasing the share of renewable energy in the national electricity mix to 36%-38% by 2030, GE Vernova said.
