“We are very excited to be able to work with Wind Pro,” said Michael Coskun, Vice President of GWS Technologies, Inc. “Montana has terrific state and local incentives which will complement the current federal rebates, making this the perfect market to begin utility-scale installations and distribution.”
"With a great track record and impressive product selection, GWS Technologies, Inc. was an obvious choice; we are happy to be working with GWS and are looking forward to providing clean renewable energy systems across Montana,” said Aaron Morlock, founder and president of Wind Pro Energy Systems. “With all the federal and state incentives and the latest innovations in wind turbine design and efficiency, owning your own renewable energy system has never been more affordable and there is hardly a better place to own one than Montana,” Mr. Morlock added.
Last month a Harvard study found Montana to be the second windiest state in the nation, second only to Texas. According to state sources, Montana has developed wind energy faster than any other state in the nation over the last four years, with the goal of producing 20% of its electricity through wind energy by 2030.
The state’s Energy Promotion and Development Division, created in 2007, is currently assisting and monitoring about 50 industrial wind energy projects of various sizes and stages of development with the potential to supply 4,000 megawatts of energy. New transmission lines are currently in the planning phase that would greatly increase the capacity of utility scale wind power.
Globally, wind is the world’s fastest-growing source of power generation with an average annual growth of 29% over the last ten years.
About GWS Technologies, Inc.
GWS stands for GreenWindSolar. We are an alternative energy technology company developing and marketing solar and wind-powered renewable energy products and solutions. Our products and solutions are part of the new "microgeneration" movement that is transforming the way everyday people provide for their energy needs.
Everyone wants to move toward a more sustainable lifestyle, but challenging economic times call for practical and economic solutions. Through a growing line of solar and wind-powered products ranging from handheld devices that can recharge an iPod to a backyard wind turbine for point-of-use alternative energy generation, GWS is leading the way in the emerging microgeneration marketplace.
The United States currently relies heavily on coal, oil, and natural gas for its energy. These fossil fuels are nonrenewable, finite resources that will eventually dwindle, becoming too expensive or too environmentally damaging to retrieve. In contrast, renewable energy resources – such as wind and solar energy – are constantly replenished and will never run out. Our renewable energy solutions help consumers generate their own electricity in harmony with the environment.
At GWS, we recognize that a “green” wave of emerging environmental regulations, and government-wide “green” initiatives, are changing the way consumers, the commercial sector, and states, counties and municipalities, do business. Governments all over the world are enacting tax credits and other financial incentives for the adoption of green, wind and solar solutions. Wind turbines are being installed around the world in record numbers every year, while closer to home California’s Million Solar Roofs Program has set a goal to create 3,000 megawatts of new, solar-produced electricity by 2017 – moving the state toward cleaner, more economical power. Everyone agrees that wind and solar are the new paradigms for power!
We are building strategic partnerships with companies that are developing cutting-edge microgeneration technologies and solutions. By harnessing the power of the wind and the sun, we’re helping consumers and businesses generate their own clean power, reduce carbon emissions, and become part of the global energy solution.
