Wind energy Suzlon has chosen Lowe Lintas

The Suzlon Group has chosen Lowe Lintas as their creative partners for their upcoming brand campaign in India. Suzlon is one of the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturing groups with its origins in India. As a category leader in India, Suzlon has worked in the past to create awareness for the category of wind energy and educate the audiences of its benefits. This campaign aims to take the argument to a wider audience.

Talking about Suzlon’s brand position, Dharini Mishra, Global Head of Brand for the group said, "Our brand premise has been to power the world with clean renewable energy for a greener tomorrow. We have never directly pitched Suzlon or our products through our brand communications. Instead, our endeavor has been to promote the cause of renewable energy and wind within it. Today, with the crisis of global warming and climate change the survival of human life on this planet is under threat and the threat is closer to home than we think as recent global events have proved. We at Suzlon, aim to leverage our brand to bring about a revolution of economic, ecological and social sustainable development."

Anaheeta Goenka, executive director LOWE expressed the agency’s excitement for this assignment, ‘We at Lowe are really excited about partnering Suzlon. It’s an extremely challenging opportunity, to get the masses to even think about renewable energy. So while we build brand Suzlon we will also be building a greener tomorrow for India – and that’s a great feeling’.

Emphasizing Suzlon’s India connect, Dharini said, ‘India is very integral and critical to Suzlon. It is not just our home market, but also a highly dynamic renewable energy market with great potential. We are listed here, have our largest employee base in India and where our global headquarters is at Pune. Our connect with the larger audiences in India go way beyond business and will always be special to us.’

Suzlon, the leader in the Indian wind energy, has maintained market leadership by capturing ~50 per cent market share for 12 consecutive years. Suzlon offers the concept-to-commissioning business model to wind farm investors in India – providing a comprehensive suite of services from wind turbines supply, to EPC, lifetime operations and maintenance and other value added services covering the entire value chain. The success of the model is seen in Suzlon’s rapid growth in India – with over 40 wind farm sites across eight states, and an installed base of more than 5,500 MW and a customer portfolio that captures the leaders of the Indian Industry.
