Wind Energy Services Company (WES) Brings Operational and Engineering Managers Onboard

Wind Energy Services Company (WES), a provider of composite repair and maintenance services to wind farm operators and OEMs, announced that it has boosted the company’s management team with the addition of Otto Fritz as operations manager and Derek Thom as senior engineer (blades). According to Gary Kanaby, director of sales, "WES’s distinction in the market is our unique depth of knowledge of wind blades that comes from our linage with the Molded Fiber Glass Companies (MFG) – the largest North American manufacturer of composite wind components. These two seasoned professionals bring the added muscle we need to expand and improve our service offerings to meet the needs of wind operators."

Otto Fritz brings experience in team management, logistics and customer service to his new position at WES. His responsibilities will include training, safety and logistical management of technician teams nationwide. He was most recently employed at PSA/Hearn/ThyssenKrupp as operations manager. He is fluent in Spanish, German, English and American Sign Language, and has a BA in Spanish from University of Texas at Arlington. Derek Thom brings four years of experience in wind blade engineering, instruction design and implementation, plant and business level quality, and Six Sigma project development. As senior engineer at WES, Derek will provide ongoing technical support to the technician teams and lead initiatives on new diagnostic and repair technologies. He was most recently employed by Complete Wind Corporation in Canada as USA service engineer, and prior to that served as North American service engineer at LM Windpower.
