Following the Jarogniew-Moltowo (20 MW) and Wartkowo (30 MW) wind farms inaugurated in 2011, the Pagow facility will double the Group’s wind capacity in Poland, and will continue its ambitious expansion in renewable energy sources.
The Gemenele wind farm in Romania will come on line in 2012. It marks the Group’s entry into power production in Romania, and illustrates the Group’s confidence in the potential of Romanian renewable energy.
Gérard Mestrallet, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GDF SUEZ, says: "The development of the Group’s wind power projects in Romania and Poland demonstrates our desire to improve the diversification of the GDF SUEZ energy mix and to continue its expansion in promising markets through the best use of the Group’s expertise and technical synergies."
