U.S. wind energy industry’s 4Q numbers to show success of Production Tax Credit

The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) will release the wind industry’s fourth quarter results for 2012 on Wednesday, January 30th, at 3PM Eastern.

Previous indications were that the industry, racing to install projects before its key incentive, the Production Tax Credit (PTC) was due to expire December 31, 2012, would turn in a strong showing for the quarter and a new record for the year. (The PTC was extended January 1 as part of the “fiscal cliff” agreement.)
The complete AWEA U.S. Wind Industry Fourth Quarter 2012 Market webinar will include:

·Installed U.S. wind capacity through 2012, by state

·New U.S. wind capacity installed during 2012, by state

·Wind projects completed and under construction during 2012

·Map of all U.S. wind projects

·Analysis and breakdown of type of power off-take agreements

This will be a one-time opportunity for reporters to get a thorough breakdown of the wind industry’s fourth quarter numbers. Following this webinar, only an abbreviated version of data will be available publicly.
