Wind Works Power Corp. Announces Permits and Procurement of Enercon Wind Turbines for Wind Farm Burg II in Germany

Wind Works Power Corp. (OTC:WWPW – News)(WKN: A0RPM2) is pleased to announce that it received permits to commence construction on its 6.9 megawatt (MW) Wind Park Burg II project in Germany.

Phase one of this project, Wind Park Burg I, is a 4 MW project that Wind Works developed and built on-time and on-budget. The $12 Million project has been online since summer 2012.

Wind Works also announces that they have signed supply agreements with wind turbine manufacturer Enercon for the provision of three Enercon 2.3MW E-82 wind turbines for Wind Park Burg II. Financing for the project is underway, and it is expected that construction will commence in April 2013, with an anticipated in-service date in Q4 of 2013.

“With permits now in hand, and the turbines ordered, we can now finalize plans to finance Burg II, following which we will commence construction”, comments Dr. Ingo Stuckmann, Wind Works’ President and CEO. “We are happy to be working once again with Enercon. They are a market leader in Germany with over 50% market share, and are currently ranked number 5 in the world.”

Wind Works now operates 4.6 megawatts in Germany, in which it has a 49% ownership stake. In addition, Wind Works is developing 27 megawatts of near-term permitted projects in Germany; 90 megawatts of FIT contracted projects in Ontario; and 425 megawatts of projects in the United States.

Our mission is to provide the opportunity for people to participate in the development of renewable wind energy projects. We believe in making sound, environmentally conscious investments that are good for our shareholders and our planet. To eliminate one person`s carbon footprint of 10 tons each year (for Germany), it only takes a modern windmill 1 day by producing approx. 20,000 kilowatt hours of zero emission energy.
